From Cradle to Credit

Money Lessons Birth to 18.

Yup. I’m writing a book. Well, another book. I write lots of different stuff and some of it, okay, lots of it can wander. Because I have lots of ideas and love to write. But special thanks to author and friend, Eric Butow, who read some previous stuff of mine and said, You need to know who your audience is and orient your writing. Which is such great feedback. Because I’m really good at that in business when I know who I’m listening to, standing in front of, sitting with, or talking with . . but when I write, the context is all in my own head which is always trying to shout brilliance to everyone simultaneously. The entrepreneur curse.

But I took Eric’s feedback to heart and pivoted in a big way. I want to talk to parents and care providers about how to talk to and teach kids about money, beginning at birth until they hit at least 18.

Because financial education in the schools is grossly inadequate everywhere and our kids are paying the price. Literally and figuratively. Not having an understanding of how money works leaves someone behind starting the day the emerge in the world.

The book is in the editing process now and then finishes with design. I expect to share that with you in the new year. Stay tuned.
