Tax Day Free Download!
We all agree kids should know about money. How it works, what to do with it, how to make it, and how to grow it. We can also agree that general child development parameters can give us context for when kids are ready to learn different things. My goal in writing my book Cradle to Credit: Money Lessons from Birth to 18 Years was to combine those two things and provide a year-by-year outline of money matters for parents, grandparents, teachers, and kids who may need to learn it independently. In chapter 8 of that book, I tackle The Power of Understanding Taxes . . . for second graders. Outlandish as it may sound, 7-year-olds are absolutely ready to learn about the purpose of taxes, how they contribute to communal well-being, and their role in government functions.
So, in honor of everyone’s favorite day of the year (ha!) and to prove my point, I’m sharing that book chapter for free! Simply fill out the form below, and you’ll get an instant download of the entire chapter. Take a look and share it with your favorite kid, then let me know what you both think (about the book, not taxes). And if you love it, you can click here to buy the entire Kindle or hard copy book.
