My First AI Effort: Pictory!

Pictory creates videos from text using AI to fill in the blanks. It's impressive software. My first effort included taking my last blog post about presenting on Career Day to 5th graders.
I cut and paste the post and then told Pictory to create a video. And then I spent hours swapping out video clips and changing language to make it my own but honestly, to get to know the capability of Pictory. And I'm so happy with the result. I was happy with my 2nd video effort after only 45 min. I fully expect to get faster with time and experience.
Keep in mind AI will still require a learning curve for applications. Don't let that time thwart your efforts. Explore!
My thoughts after a video or two with Pictory AI:
Pictory Pros:
The free trial is actually free. I was able to access and use are tools I would on a paid account. Granted, they stay watermarked if you download your video as "finished". Join the platform for a fee and the watermark disappears.
HUGE library of video snippets to potentially include. Plus, I was able to upload my own photos and video material to imbed in any video I was creating.
Sufficient number of templates to choose from. I certainly didn't explore them all but was satisfied to the degree I used them and was pleased with the outcome.
Pricing is okay. To be on their standard beginner plan I pay $23/month. It would be slightly cheaper if I made an annual commitment.
Pictory Cons:
The AI voiceover choices are plentiful but I felt they all still had that stilted robotic sounding quality. However, you do have the option to do your own voiceover of the content. I kept my video's background as music only because my 24 year old watches EVERYTHING on mute. Subtext is enough.
The emails. Kate in Pictory Customer Service is SO helpful sending tips and tricks I'm this close to unsubscribing. It's clearly an automated system. Most recently asking me to upgrade but what I would love to tell real people at Pictory, you're not winning me over by simply telling me more about you. How about feedback on my actual videos? Something I care about Something relevant to my work product on your site. Alas, no luck, Kate is just annoying.
